Glossary

Business T1 – are T1 lines greatly depend on the demand for bandwidth speed of a particular business organization to efficiently deliver a reliable and scalable voice and data connection from one point to another.

Dedicated T1 – A T1 line equivalent to 24 phone lines, and when bonded can reach up to twice that – meaning it would take 48 phone lines to have the same amount of digital transmission, either voice or data, of a Dedicated T1 line.

DS3 Private Line Services – high speed connections capable of transmitting data over a dedicated pathway with bandwidth speeds reaching up to 45 Mbps.

Ethernet Internet – a high-speed connection using fiber-optic or copper twisted pair with bandwidth conforming to standard Ethernet data rate of burst speed up to 10 Gbit/s. It has no special hardware requirement and very low latency.

Gigabit Ethernet Internet – the fastest networking solution for businesses, capable of transmitting data between two locations within a particular metropolitan area at speeds of up to 1.2 Gbps. This is ideal for businesses with separate locations in a single Wide Area Network (WAN) or Metropolitan Area Network (MAN).

GigaMan Internet – a high-speed internet connection with transmission speeds between networks can reach up to 1.2 gigabits per second, one of the fastest rates in the entire communications industry today. GigaMan speeds is approximately 26 times faster than a 45 Mbps DS-3 setup and is infinitely faster than standard 64 Kbps DSL connections.

High Speed T1 – can be any of the following : Full T1, Data T1, Bonded T1, Voice T1, Fractional T1, Integrated T1, Burstable T1, Point-to-Point T1, or Frame Relay Service. It is a digital line capable of transmitting data at a speed of 1.54Mbps and can maximize up to 15GB of data a day.

Hosting Services – enable individuals or organizations to make their website to be accessible in the Internet. Web Hosting Service Providers supply space to consumers and also provides Internet connection.

Integrated Access – is a T1 solution providing one digital circuit for voice, long distance, and internet access by connecting PBX and network router and assigns each of the 24 T1 channels.

Internet T1 – a high-speed telephone that transmits data at a speed of 1.544 Mbps. It is capable of sustaining 24 trunks and telephone lines.

Internet T1 Price – vary depending on features and details included like Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), Voice and Web Conferencing, VPN networking, Primary Rate Interface, Digital Trunk, and Dedicated Long Distance.

Internet T3 – is a type of internet connection with T3 circuit channels capable of multiple T1 channels multiplexed, thus achieving a concurrent rate of 44.736 Mbit/s.

Long Distance T1 – is a long distance solution where all 24 channels are distinct and can equally support either internet connectivity or calling pathways. Long Distance T1 Calling is divided into four distinct classes—international, interstate, InterLATA or IntraLATA.

MPLS Services –  Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) is a form of protocol, rather than a specific type of service. It can be used to deliver any type of circuit that a customer needs, from IP VPNs to optical connectivity. It is ideal for data packets that do not require the same amount of speed or priority. With a traditional IP circuit, all traffic is treated equally.

POTS – Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS) is a standard telephone service used in most residential homes and some small businesses. However, telephone services based on high-speed, digital lines are not under POTS. Compared to Non-POTS, POTS is generally restricted to 52 Kbps. POTS network is also called the public switched telephone network (PSTN).

T1 Bandwidth – an essential part in deploying Wide Area Network (WAN)-based technologies. Each T1 line has have a fix bandwidth speed of 1.544 Mbps. However, about 8 Kbps of said bandwidth is utilized in other tasks such as packet channel tracking; hence, T1 bandwidth is typically about 1.536 Mbps.

T1 Internet Services – range of services to give end-users the best solutions for Data and Internet Services on the following key areas: Dedicated Internet Access; Ethernet Solutions; Hosting and Colocation; MPLS Services; Private Line Services.

T1 Line – also called T-carrier line,  is a fiber optic technology which every internet line can support data transmission 60 times greater than a normal residential modem.

T1 Private Line Services – T1 Private Line (also called Leased Line) service is a dedicated point-to-point and multipoint inter- or intra-LATA digital data service that transmits at speeds of Fractional T1 and higher.

T1 Service Providers – T-1 carriers offering different T1 rates and terms for their T1 solutions based on high-speed T1 networking and connectivity solutions for businesses and other organizations and wide array of service packages for the unique needs of every consumer.

Voice T1 – is essentially voice application and transmission employing T1 signaling and lines typically installed in 24 channel service packets. Voice T1 is capable of supporting up to 24 voice lines. Each 24 channel circuit provides high-speed Internet connectivity direct from the service provider’s network.

Wireless Broadband – is a super fast internet service via wireless technology works by sending data from one location to another by bouncing signals. In wireless broadband, the wireless router sends the signal to the remote server and the server bounces back the signal to the wireless router so the connection can be made for the wireless internet services.
